November 23, 2016

The Home-Grown Alternatives shopping event is set to be held on Saturday, December 10 from 10.00am to 4.00pm at St. Paul’s Christian Education Centre on Middle Road in Paget, featuring 26 vendors.

A spokesperson said, “The Home-Grown Alternatives Market is Bermuda’s premier shopping event, and is now in its 21st year.

“You can find top quality hand-made goods by Bermudian artists as there will be approximately 26 vendors, amongst whom you are bound to find that perfect gift idea.

“There will be edible treats, art, jewelry, ceramics, glass, cedar, plants, cards, knitting, books, bags, woodworking, ornaments, soaps and scents.

“There is also a kitchen providing Bermudian cuisine. There is ample parking at this centrally located venue, which is also wheelchair accessible. Come and spend a couple of pleasant hours shopping, cash and green bags in hand.”

  1. know your history says:

This is much better idea to be held over the summer for tourists, because they always want something locally made!

  2. Fantastic says:

So organize one for the summer. This group does not have the time. Which means you can organize and shoulder the responsibility. Then i can say welcome to the club where it is always hard to find a venue, vendors (they go on holiday during the summer) sponsors, helpers to set up and break down etc. )The list is end,ess and why it does not happen in the summer. Then again the summer homegrown alternatives is called Harbournights.
