Remembrance Day Parade On Friday At 11am

The Remembrance Day Parade to commemorate those who served in the two World Wars will be held on Friday, November 11 at 11.00am, with members of the public encouraged to attend the ceremony and honour those who served.

A Government spokesperson said, “Her Excellency The Acting Governor, Mrs. Ginny Ferson, The Premier of Bermuda, Michael H. Dunkley, and the Opposition Leader, David Burt, will lead a host of dignitaries who will lay wreaths at the Cenotaph on Front Street, Hamilton and also at the War Memorial on the Cabinet Office grounds.

“The War Memorial short ceremony will take place at 9.30am.

“The following units will be on parade: Bermuda’s War Veterans; Bermuda Regiment; Bermuda Regiment Band & Corps of Drums; Bermuda Regiment Gun Troop; Bermuda Regiment Junior Leaders; Bermuda Cadet Corps; Bermuda Police; Bermuda Sea Cadets; Salvation Army Band; North Village Band & Somerset Brigade Band & Bermuda Islands Pipe Band; and St. John Ambulance Brigade.

“In the event of inclement weather the ceremony will be held at the Anglican Cathedral.”
