Video: Remembrance Sunday At The Cathedral
A Remembrance Sunday Service was held at The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Hamilton today [Nov 13] where Birgitte the Duchess of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Bermuda Regiment took part in a wreath laying ceremony.
The event program said the service was held “with particular remembrance of those who left Bermuda in 1916 for the battle front of the First World War and who served, suffered and died in the Battle of the Somme and other battles thereafter”.
Attendees included Bishop Nicholas Dill, The Reverend Canon Norman Lynas, Acting Governor Mrs. Ginny Ferson and Mr. Ferson, Premier Michael Dunkley, Commanding Officer of the Royal Bermuda Regiment Lieutenant-Colonel David Curley, Opposition Deputy Leader Walter Roban, along with other dignitaries and guests.
Remembrance Sunday was also marked in St George’s today with a wreath laying ceremony in King’s Square and photos from the event can be seen here and a live video replay can be seen here.
