Audio/Video: High School Rugby League Launch
The Bermuda Rugby Football Union announced the start of the 2017 Ariel Re High School League at a press conference at the Police Field.
Berkeley Institute, CedarBridge Academy, Warwick Academy, Saltus and Bermuda Institute captains or representatives were on hand to help with the launch.
Gareth Nokes, speaking on behalf of the Bermuda Rugby Football Union said, “This is our third year and it is amazing how far youth rugby has come and now we can see the change, as most of the Under 19 team is now Bermudian.”
Michael Doyle from Ariel Re said, “We are extremely delighted to continue to support the Ariel Re High School League, it is great to see the enthusiasm for the sport continues to grow.”
Patrick Calow, the Youth Development Officer for the Bermuda Rugby Football Union said, “Six years ago when all this began, I did not envision it being as far along as it is today so that in itself is pleasing.”
