BFIS Holds Christmas Speed Networking Lunch
Over 70 insurance professionals and undergraduate students participated in BFIS’ annual Christmas Speed Networking Lunch on December 29 at O’Hara House.
A spokesperson said, “With eight rotations, each lasting six minutes, every student had the opportunity to meet and talk one‐on‐one to at least eight insurance industry representatives and then, for those able to stay longer, enjoy more relaxed conversations over lunch.”
“Students at whatever stage of their college education find the ‘real world’ guidance they receive during these sessions extremely useful, and BFIS is extremely grateful to the many professionals who take the time to come to these events.”
BFIS Scholar Latonia Fray said “The session was very useful in practical terms as well as being almost like a reunion as I was able to catch up with the professionals I had met at previous BFIS events.”
“The BFIS Mentor Network programme is sponsored by Aon through the Aon Rhondelle Tankard Memorial Foundation. BFIS programmes also include insurance career information in the high schools, internships for college students, mentoring, networking events and assisting insurance-focused students find summer employment and graduates find full time employment on careers in the industry.”
