Video: “Countless Ways” To Be Involved In AC35
This week’s ‘Minute with Mikaela’ highlights the many opportunities available for local businesses and people to get involved with the upcoming America’s Cup.
During the Minute, Mikaela Pearman said, “The 35th America’s Cup is just a few months away and I’m going to tell you about the opportunities available for local businesses and people like you and me. There are countless ways to be involved in AC35, including being a volunteer.
“If you’re looking for a paid gig, there are plenty of those as well. Local businesses AS Cooper and Son, Butterfield & Vallis, and MEF restaurants recently launched recruitment drives; they need more staff.”
“Opportunities include drivers, warehouse staff at Butterfield & Vallis, temporary managers, sales staff, cashiers at AS Cooper, and hospitality staff at MEF.
“Additionally, the ACBDA created a local business opportunities working group in December which will give local business owners and entrepreneurs the opportunity to attend information sessions and receive guidance from ACBDA on how to maximize business opportunities during AC35.
“The group is being lead by Denise Riviere, who will connect local businesses and service providers to meet the needs that will arise. The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation and Bermuda Chamber of Commerce are also involved.
