BTA 2016 Year-In-Review Published Online
A comprehensive multimedia compilation of the 2016 year in tourism is now available online. It’s a digital version of the 2016 Year-in-Review, a publicly available resource that provides a detailed account on the work of the Bermuda Tourism Authority.
In the foreword of the document Chairman David Dodwell writes: “At the end of 2016, Bermuda finds its tourism industry on the upswing with 12 months of consecutive year-over-year growth.
“Leisure air arrivals finished up 17 percent, visitor spending was up 18 percent and hotel occupancy grew 10 percent. It was the strongest year for Bermuda tourism since 2007.”
The BTA said, “The 2016 Year-in-Review explains the Bermuda Tourism Authority’s activities throughout the year. It does not include the Audited Financials, that information is added once an audit is completed by the Office of Auditor General and the information is tabled in Parliament, as required by the Bermuda Tourism Authority Act. The Year-in-Review plus Audited Financials will make up the 2016 Annual Report which will also be available online later this year.
“Bermuda Tourism Authority corporate reports, industry reports and visitor statistical information is available online anytime on the BTA’s corporate website.”
