BNT To Clean Up Scaur Lodge Nature Reserve
The Bermuda National Trust is heading west this weekend to clean up the Scaur Lodge Nature Reserve in Sandys.
The clean-up, which takes places from 8.30am to 1pm on Saturday, is being spearheaded by BNT volunteer group ANTS [Another National Trust Service] and all are welcome.
ANTS are being assisted by the expert tree surgeons from Horsfield Landscape and Design and the main goal is to clear invasive plants and trees from the Reserve. Volunteers will also be opening trails.
Family and friends, student teams and companies are welcome to join in to help on this project anytime between 8.30am and 1pm.
Said National Trust Executive Director Bill Zuill: “This is the third project carried out by ANTS this year. It is a great way to spend some time and get some exercise in the open air while making a nature reserve a little more accessible.
“We welcome all ages and skill levels. If you like spending time outdoors helping the environment, then this is for you.”
Please wear working clothes and protective shoes, and bring gloves if you have them.
Scaur Lodge Nature Reserve is located off Middle Road in Sandys. There will be signs directing volunteers to the nature reserve.
