St. David’s Cricket Club, Somerset Cricket Club, Bailey’s Bay, St. George’s Cricket Club, and Somerset Bridge all recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier and First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 146 Runs: St. David’s Cricket Club 271/8 Southampton Rangers 125

At Lord’s in St. David’s, the host won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 271/8, with Chris Douglas the top scorer on 85, and Vernon Eve returning bowling figures of 10-0-52-3 for the Southampton Rangers.

In reply, Southampton Rangers were bowled out for 125; Rohaan Simons was the top scorer with 44 not out, and George O’Brien Jr was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 7-1-28-3.

Somerset Cricket Club Win by 21 Runs: Somerset Cricket Club 200 Cleveland County 179

Bailey’s Bay Win by 7 Wickets: Western Stars 139 Bailey’s Bay 142/3

At the Sea Breeze Oval, Bailey’s Bay picked up their first win of the League Season with a seven wicket victory over Western Stars.

Bailey’s Bay won the toss and sent Western Stars to bat, bowling them out for 139, with Tre Manders the top scorer with 45, Zeko Burgess was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 8-0-26-2.

In reply, Bailey’s Bay scored 142/3, with Sinclair Smith scoring 53 not out, and Brian Hall the pick of the Western Stars bowlers, returning figures of 10-3-22-1.

First Division

St. George’s Cricket Club Win by 6 Wickets: Flatt’s Victoria 166 St. George’s Cricket Club 170/4

At the Wellington Oval, St. George’s Cricket Club won the toss and elected to field they bowled Flatt’s Victoria out for 166. Reginald Baker was their top scorer with 34, Ryan Steede led the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 7-1-24-4, and Maccai Simmons returned figures of 10-0-36-3.

In reply, St. George’s Cricket Club scored 170/4, with Lionel Cann the top scorer on 71, while Onias Bascome added 56 not out. Nelson Bascome was the pick of the Flatt’s Victoria bowlers with figures of 8-0-34-2.

Somerset Bridge Win by 137 Runs: Somerset Bridge 205 Warwick Workmen’s Club 68

Somerset Bridge won the toss at the Southampton Oval and decided to bat, scoring 205 all out. Jason Smith was the top scorer with 73 not out, with Jamie Smith the pick of the Warwick Workmen’s bowlers with figures of 10-1-35-4.

In reply, Warwick Workmen’s Club were bowled out for 68. Donnie Charles led the Somerset Bridge bowling attack with 6-3-9-4 and Shawn Riley had figures of 6-1-22-3.
