Somerset Cricket Club, St. David’s Cricket Club, St. George’s Cricket Club, Warwick Workmen’s Club, and Somerset Bridge all recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier and First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

Somerset Cricket Club Win by 7 Wickets: Bailey’s Bay 171 Somerset Cricket Club 172/3

At the Sea Breeze Oval, Somerset Cricket Club won the toss and sent the host to bat, Bailey’s Bay were bowled out for 171, with Derrick Brangman the top scorer with 34, Greg Maybury was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 10-2-33-3.

In reply Jordan DeSilva scored 106 not out as he guided the Somerset Cricket Club to victory after 44.2 overs. Brangman was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 10-2-24-3.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 24 Runs: St. David’s Cricket Club 288/8 Western Stars 264/6

St. David’s Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat, they scored 288/8 in their allotted 50 overs, with Dion Stovell the top scorer with 63, Allan Douglas adding 54, Brian Hall was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers with figures of 10-0-46-3.

In reply Western Stars fell short by 24 runs scoring 264/6, Hall was the top scorer with 76, while Tre Manders added 54, George O’Brien returned figures of 10-2-24-3 to lead the St. David’s Cricket Club to victory.

First Division

St. George’s Cricket Club Win by 5 Wickets: Willow Cuts 206 St. George’s Cricket Club 207/5

At the Somerset Cricket Club, Willow Cuts batted first and were bowled out for 206, Kamal Bashir was the top scorer with 35, while Maccai Simmons returned figures of 9-0-35-3 to lead the St. George’s Cricket Club bowling attack.

In reply Lionel Cann scored 101 helping to steer St. George’s Cricket Club to victory, Kamel Easton was the pick of the Willow Cuts bowlers with figures of 7-0-53-2.

Warwick Workmen’s Club Win by 5 Wickets: Devonshire Recreation Club 191 Warwick Workmen’s Club 193/5

Devonshire Recreation Club won the toss at home and decided to bat, they were bowled out for 191, Hewvonnie Brown was the top scorer with 41, while Stefan Dill returned bowling figures of 8.2-0-29-3 for Warwick Workmen’s Club.

In reply Warwick Workmen’s Club would score 193/5, with Kyle Swan scoring 54 not out and Akeem Ible added 50 not out, Jodi Maroni was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation Club bowlers with figures of 10-0-33-2.

Somerset Bridge Won by 4 Wickets: Flatt’s Victoria 157 Somerset Bridge 158/6

Somerset Bridge won the toss and elected to bat at Lord’s, they were bowled out for 157. Christof Von Tonder was their top scorer with 67, Shawn Riley leading the Somerset Bridge bowling attack with figures of 5-0-24-3, with Omar Amory bowling 8-0-20-3.

In reply Somerset Bridge scored 158/6, Jason Smith was the top scorer with 59, Smith shared a 57 run partnership with Sean Perinchief to help guide his team to victory. Kijuan Franks had figures of 10-0-20-4 for Flatt’s Victoria.
