St. David’s Cricket Club, Western Stars, PHC, and Flatt’s Victoria all recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier and First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 30 Runs: St. David’s Cricket Club 183 Bailey’s Bay 153

The host won the toss at Lord’s and decided to bat, they scored 183, Chris Douglas was the top scorer with 54, while Allan Douglas chipped in with 37, Kyle Hodsoll was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 8-1-27-4.

In reply Bailey’s Bay were bowled out for 153, 30 runs short of their target, Terryn Fray was their top scorer with 37, Rodney Trott added 26, George O’Brien was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 8.3-2-28-4.

Western Stars Won By 6 wickets: Cleveland County 112 Western Stars 116/4

Cleveland won toss and decided to bat at the Wellington Oval, they were bowled out for 112, Treadwell Gibbons was the top scorer with 40, Brian Hall led the Western Stars bowling attack with figures of 9-3-16-5, while Dalin Richardson bowled 7.4-0-32-3.

In reply Western Stars scored 116/4, captain Justin Robinson was the top scorer with 57, while Dennis Musson was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers with figures of 8-1-40-3.

First Division

PHC Win by 51 Runs: PHC 167 St. George’s Cricket Club 116

PHC batted first and were bowled out for 167 at the PHC Stadium, Charles Trott was their top scorer with 29, while player-coach Ryan Steede led the St. George’s Cricket Club bowling attack with figures of 5-2-9-3.

In reply St. George’s Cricket Club were dismissed for 116, Richard Todd scored 38 not out, but he had very little help, Den Hanuman led the PHC bowling attack returning figures of 10-2-25-3, while Trott bowled 8-2-36-3.

Flatt’s Victoria Win by 58 Runs: Flatt’s Victoria 185 Devonshire Recreation Club 127

At the Devonshire Rec. visitors Flatt’s Victoria batted first and scored 185 all out, with Reginald Baker the top scorer with 46, while Jodi Maronie returned figures of 10-1-37-4 and Chris Daley bowled 9-2-39-3.

In reply Devonshire Recreation Club were bowled out for 127, Daley was the top scorer with 31, with Flatt’s captain Kijuan Franks leading from the front with bowling figures of 7.4-1-25-3.

Rain Halts Play: Willow Cuts 179/8 Somerset Bridge 87/6

At the White Hill Field Willow Cuts won toss and decided to bat, they were restricted to 179/8 in their allotted 50 overs, Kwasi James was the top scorer with 71, with Tolear Caines leading the Somerset Bridge bowling attack with figures of 10-2-21-2.

In reply Somerset Bridge reached 87/6 after 21 overs when rain prevented any further play for the day, Sean Riley was the top scorer with 22, while Kamel Easten returned figures of 4-0-11-3 for Willow Cuts before the match was stopped.
