BLDC Invites Public To Enjoy Beach Upgrades
The Bermuda Land Development Company Limited [BLDC] has invited the community to “enjoy the upgrades at Clearwater and Daniel’s Head beaches” during the Labour Day weekend and for the rest of the 2017 summer season.
“We are excited about the improvements that have been made,” said Francis R. Mussenden, BLDC’s Chief Executive Officer. “We encourage everyone to come out and visit these popular Bermuda beaches.”
The re-launch of Daniel’s Head Beach has attracted several food-service concessionaires, including Woody’s Sea to Shore food truck, Lickety Split, and Snack Shack, according to a spokesperson.
X2O Adventures introduces Bermuda’s first floating waterpark, open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. all week. “We’re excited about the response so far this summer,” said Raisa Tuzo, Director at X20 Adventures. “Filled with slides, obstacles and trampolines, our waterpark at Daniel’s Head provides the best atmosphere for non-stop fun in the sun.”
Waterpark passes can be booked online. There is no age requirement but participants must be 48 inches or taller.
A spokesperson said, “Beach rentals—kayaks, paddleboards, and beach chairs—are also available at Daniel’s Head from Island Winds. Hairbraiders of Bermuda is also on site.
“At Clearwater Beach, Gombey’s Restaurant and Bar continues its service while offering Hydrobike rentals on site. Visitors can also enjoy snapping selfies and holiday mementos against the new Gombey mural recently completed by artists from the Chewstick Foundation.”
“Clearwater and Daniel’s Head are not just renovated, they are rejuvenated,” said BLDC’s Mussenden. “The new restrooms and the wide range of new services enhance both locations and ensure they are enjoyable destinations for the whole family.”
