Eva Frazzoni Scores In Saint Rose College Win
Bermuda’s Eva Frazzoni scored for the College of Saint Rose as they defeated Stonehill 2 – 1.
The New York based school’s match report said, “The College of Saint Rose built a 2-0 halftime lead and then held off a desperately moving forward Stonehill squad in the final 15 minutes to upend the defending Northeast-10 Conference champions 2-1 at Sullivan Field.
“The Golden Knights [2-0-1/1-0-0 NE 10] engineered a slight 12-11 shot differential and a 3-2 corner kick edge, but the Skyhawks [2-2-0/0-1-0 NE10] recorded eight of their threats in the second half.
“Sophomore forward Nina Predanic accounted for the game winner when she gathered a Stonehill clearing attempt and drove a shot to the left side of the net with 37:01 gone by.
“Earlier, sophomore midfielder Caitlyn Dabagian made a nice run down the right side, before delivering a ball to the area that fellow sophomore midfielder Eva Frazzoni touched home with 8:09 gone by.
“Stonehill then picked up the momentum in the late going and broke through with four minutes remaining when junior midfielder Courtney Campo lofted a ball from 30-yards out that slipped under the crossbar. However, Saint Rose kept the Chieftains at bay from that point forward to keep its unblemished record intact.”
