Court: Keivon Scott Sentenced For Murder

October 5, 2017

Appearing in the Supreme Court today [Oct 5], 35-year-old Keivon Scott was sentenced to life for the murder of Edmund John Flood, with the Court ruling he must serve 18 years in prison before he is eligible for parole.

Mr Flood, 55, was found dead at a Paget residence on October 2nd, 2016.

The two were involved in a romantic relationship, which prosecutors described as ‘strained and tumultuous’, and the Court heard that Mr Flood had been punched multiple times and then tied to the bed.

Before being sentenced, Scott apologised to the victim’s family, and his lawyer said that his client is remorseful for his actions.

Justice Carlisle Greaves listed aggravating factors including Scott previously assaulting Mr Flood, causing him to end up in hospital.
