Daren A. Herbert To Star In Stratford Festival
Bermudian actor Daren A. Herbert will star in the key role of lead character Harold Hill in ‘The Music Man’ at the upcoming Stratford Festival in Stratford, Ontario.
A story in the Stratford Beacon Herald said, “The Stratford Festival revealed its casting for all 12 of next season’s productions early Tuesday morning, highlights from which include Seana McKenna as Julius Casear, André Sills as Coriolanus, and Daren A. Herbert as Harold Hill in The Music Man.
The key roles were announced for next season’s Donna Feore-directed musicals – The Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Music Man.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show will feature Dan Chameroy’s return to the Stratford Festival as Dr. Frank N. Furter, Jennifer Rider-Shaw as Janet, and Sayer Roberts as Brad.
Known for his roles in the films This Means War and Dreamgirls, Herbert will make his Stratford debut as Harold Hill in The Music Man. Herbert will be joined onstage by Danielle Wade, the winner of CBC’s Over the Rainbow reality show, who will make her Stratford debut as Marion Paroo.
