Waldron, Smith Attend Cricket Course in Antigua
The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] congratulated Calvin Waldron and Clay Smith on completing the first part of the CWI/ECB Level 3 Cricket Coaching Course in Antigua.
President Lloyd Fray stated, “On behalf of the BCB, I would like to congratulate Calvin Waldron and Clay Smith on completing the first part of the CWI/ECB Level 3 Cricket Coaching Course in Antigua.
“I know the coaches enjoyed the intensive course and have come back with a wealth of information and new ideas to share with our local coaches. Both will travel to Grenada in February to complete the practical component of the course and I wish them success in completing this endeavor.”
National Coach, Clay Smith said this about his experience, “The coaching course was intense but very informative. It covered the physical, mental, tactical and technical aspects of cricket.
“The course allowed us to catch up with some old friends and to meet some new coaches with whom we will continue to network with as we aim to improve the game of cricket in Bermuda.”

Coach Smith explained, “Between now and February we have to complete coursework, brush up on our CPR/First Aid training and conduct several practical sessions. We will travel to Grenada to take the practical testing component and I look forward to coming back and conducting several pre-season training sessions with both youth and senior captains and coaches.”
Cal Waldron stated, “What an awesome week of cricket education!! The lecturers were spot on with their information. The content, discussions and practical sessions kept us all enthused and eager to learn.”
