Robbery At Belvin’s Variety On Glebe Road
The Belvin’s Variety store on Glebe Road was robbed early Saturday morning, with a suspect who “brandished a bladed article” escaping with an “undisclosed amount of money.”

A police spokesperson said, “At 6:42am on Saturday police responded to a report of a robbery at Belvin’s Variety on Glebe Road in Pembroke. It appears that the suspect walked into the store brandished a bladed article and made demands of money.
“The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money; he then made good his escape. The man is described as 6feet tall brown complexioned male of average build. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 2950011.
Intoxicated Man Arrested
The police also said, “At around 5am on Saturday a member of the public noticed a male kicking over bikes along Victoria Street, police were called and they noticed an intoxicated male cursing and unsteady on his feet. The man was arrested and taken into police custody.
Female Arrested In Southampton
“Meantime, on Friday at 1:53pm an off duty police officer was in the area of the Wok Restaurant in Southampton when she noticed a female sitting on her motorcycle with a suspicious parcel. Police were summoned and a search was done and two twists with what is believed to be illicit drugs was found beside the bike. The woman was arrested and taken into police custody.”
