Carrick Wins Czech Jr Open Consolation Final
Taylor Carrick represented Bermuda in the Czech Junior Open Squash Super Series Tournament in Prague winning the Consolation Round to finish 33rd in the Boy’s Under 17 Division.
Carrick would go down in his first match 3-2 to Lubos Walter from the Czech Republic 11-8, 6-11, 5-11, 11-6, 12-10.
Carrick would then proceeded to win his next 5 matches to claim the Consolation Title.
Carrick would first defeat his Czech Republic opponent Kristián Mraček in straight games 11-5, 11-3, 11-6, he would then defeat Ahmad Al-Muraikhi from in straight games 11-3, 11-3, 11-5.
Carrick would move on to face Jan Gastl from Austria and once again he would win in straight games 11-3, 11-9, 11-6, Carrick would face off against Asaf Gaitelband from Israel in their Semi-Final battle with Carrick winning 3 – 1, after falling 11-7 in the first game Carrick would run off three straight victories winning 11-9, 11-9, 11-5.
In the Consolation Final Carrick went up against Elias Coyle from Denmark, with Carrick winning in straight games 11-9, 11-3, 11-4.
