F.A. Cup Of Darts Championships Results
Local dart players converged on BAA Club as the annual tournament took place, with Vernon Daniels winning the overall event.
A spokesperson said, “A great turn out from the local darting community, despite a wet and rainy January evening. B.A.A as always, were fantastic hosts of this annual tournament, with plenty of quality darts again on show including some very high ton plus scoring, including 180′s and 177′s.
“With no seeded draw bracket, and the draw after every round, this is a very hard format to win, as any of the top ranked players can draw each other at any given time. Again, this year’s event proved no exception, providing some very hard ties, especially in round one, & then all the way to the semi-finals.

“In an epic war of attrition, these two stalwarts of Bermuda darts, [with nine WDF World Cup appearances between them] took to the oche for this year’s final. With Daniels winning the Bull -Up and starting first In Leg 1. But it was Carruthers that got to the Double first, only for Daniels to show his classy finishing after his opponent’s finishing woes.
“This proved to be the same in Leg 2 and for Daniels to take a 2 – 0 Lead. Leg 3 was a tight affair with Daniels hitting double x9 for a 3 leg advantage.
