Ministry: 50 Bus Runs Cancelled On Tuesday

January 30, 2018

[Updated] The cancellation of bus runs continue, with the Ministry releasing a list of bus cancellations for this afternoon [Jan 30] with fifty bus runs cancelled.

Update 4.48pm: We asked the Ministry for some clarifications related to buses. When asked if the new bus a correct length for Bermuda, the Ministry said, “The new bus is 5.5” longer than the previous buses purchased. All buses since 2005 are 5” wider than the Motor Car Act 1951 anticipated.

Asked if the Ministry is making any headway to reduce the cancellations, the Ministry said, “It is difficult to reduce cancellations until we can improve the number of buses on the road,” and when asked if minibuses still being used, the Ministry said, “No, minibuses are not being used.”

Step up to the plate and get it sorted PLP
Some of us regular folk rely on the buses. We aint all got a tax payer funded company limousine to whisk us around.

  4. MB says:

Completely unacceptable. Not what plp was elected to do. Its getting worse and the ministry is blaming everyone but itself and unreasonable bus driver hours demands We owe our people and kids better than this.
