Police Attend Robbery At Smiths Parish Business

Police responded to a robbery that took place at Belvins on Middle Road in Smiths at around 5.00pm today [Jan 28].

Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said: “Police responded to a report of a robbery that took place on today [Sunday] at Belvins Middle Road in Smiths at around 5pm.

“It appears that a male walked into the store an store and stole money out of the cash register. He then left on a waiting motorcycle ridden by a male accomplice. It is believed that the suspects left on a motorcycle traveling in a westerly direction on Middle Road. No one was injured and it appears that no weapon was brandished.

“Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have any information to contact police on 295-0011.”

    Anyone caught doing such crimes should be fitted with a permanent implanted microchip tracking device. Then we can track them like how SPCA tracks dogs. Enough said.
