Video: Injured Crew Members Arrive In Bermuda
The Panama registered ‘Pegasus Highway’ arrived in Bermuda this afternoon [Jan 6], where the two crew members were disembarked after being injured when the “vessel was hit by a rogue wave during cargo inspections, resulting in both crew members falling.”
The two Filipino crew members were injured when, while approximately 300 miles northwest of Bermuda, the “vessel was hit by a rogue wave during cargo inspections resulting in both crew members falling, one suffering lacerations to the face, and the other with head, hand and leg injuries.”
“Medical treatment was administered onboard with the vessel then 420 miles east of Chesapeake Bay, unable to return to the U.S.A. due to continuing bad weather,” the Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre said.
