Winter League: Thunder Cats, Devonshire Win
The Bermuda Basketball Association’s Winter League season sponsored by One saw a double header at the Somersfield Academy Gymnasium result in 252 points on the night.
In the opening match the Southampton Thunder Cats defeated the Hamilton City Twisters 70 – 66. Chris Crumpler led the Southampton Thunder Cats to victory with 34 points, they would have 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 9 steals and 2 block shots, while the Hamilton City Twisters got 26 points from Stevey Brown-Darrell who also had 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 block shots.
Game 2 saw the Devonshire Chargers defeat the Pembroke Skyforce 78 – 38. Kevin Stephens scored a game high 23 points to lead the Devonshire Chargers, while Christian Liyanage scored 18 points for the Pembroke Skyforce.
