Leaping Leprechaun Fundraising Fun Walk

March 15, 2018

The Chatmore British International School will be hosting a Leaping Leprechaun Fundraising Fun Walk on Friday [March 16] at 10.00am from Botanical Gardens Southeast Grounds to the School Campus on #9 St. Mark’s Road in Smith’s.

A spokesperson said, “The prevalence of Obesity and Diabetes in Bermuda is shockingly high and has been a much talked about issue in recent news. The resulting co-morbidities such as heart disease and stroke are killing citizens at an increasingly younger age.

“We can do something!! Education about our choices at every age group, promotion of regular exercise and a healthy diet can make a huge difference! The younger we start the better the outcomes on the long run. We can create a culture of Wellness with a consistent and continuous message.

“Chatmore’s Assistant Director and Consulting Physiotherapist, Andrea Cann provides adventure-based physical activities for all grade levels through Chatmore’s FitKids programme.

“This year’s Leaping Leprechaun Fundraising Fun Walk is promoting awareness around a fit and healthy lifestyle by holding a Fun Walk on Friday, 16th March at 10:00 a.m. from Botanical Gardens Southeast Grounds to the School Campus on #9 St. Mark’s Road in Smith’s.

“The community is welcome to join in and are also welcome to support the Chatmore School Development Fund [Registered Charity #989].
