Match Play Championships To Begin March 14
The 2018 Bermuda Match Play Championships are due to get underway on Wednesday, March 14, continuing until Saturday, March 17 at the Mid Ocean Club.
This will be the qualifying round used to seed the players and determine the matches. The Match Play event will commence on Thursday, March 15, with players competing in either the Men’s Championship, Senior Men’s Championship, or Ladies Championship.
Players may enter the tournament by visiting the website or contacting the Bermuda Golf Association office at 295-9972.
A spokesperson said, “The Men’s 2017 Champion, Jarryd Dillas will be playing in the event, but unfortunately Tariqah Walikraam the reigning ladies champion will not be playing as she is overcoming an injury.
“The Match Play Championships has traditionally attracted a high calibre of player and hope for a repeat so the eventual winner can be worthy of the title.
“The pairings and results of the matches will be available online prior to and throughout the tournament.”
