Paynter, Butterfield Win Cricket Players Of Week
One Communications and the Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] announced that the Premier League Player of the Week is Mishael Paynter of St. George’s, while the First Division Player of the Week is Kian Butterfield of Warwick Workmen’s club.
A spokesperson said, “One Communications and the BCB are pleased to announce that the One Communications Premier Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Mishael Paynter of St. George’s. In the match against Somerset CC Mishael batted for 47.3 overs to top score with 155 runs from 147 balls including 20 fours and 3 sixes. Mishael then bowled 10 overs taking 2 wickets for 55 runs playing a pivotal role in St. George’s victory over Cup Match rivals Somerset by 47 runs.

“The One Communications First Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Kian Butterfield of Warwick Workmen’s club. In the game against Willow Cuts Kian took 4 crucial middle order wickets for just 11 eleven runs helping to restrict his opposition to just 101 runs. Kian then scored an unbeaten 20 runs off 28 balls, including 3 four’s, to guide Warwick to a comfortable 7 wicket victory.
