[Updated with photos] The annual Queen’s Birthday Parade is taking place this morning [June 9] on Front Street in Hamilton featuring the pomp and pageantry of the marching units from The Royal Bermuda Regiment, Royal Bermuda Regiment Band & Corps of Drums, Bermuda Police Service and Bermuda Police Reserves, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, Royal Bermuda Regiment Junior Leaders and the Bermuda Sea Cadet Corps.

So you dont think there is nothing wrong with honouring George Somers for freeing slaves?
Whats wrong with Bermuda, the bitterness and hate was here when we first came here, and is engrained in our society.

30 years + and even back in the 70′s Front Street was packed along with Burnaby with thousands of people for this event.

George Somers died in the 1600s. Africans were enslaved until 1834.
