Court: 18-Year-Old Fined $1,000 For Fighting
A teenager has been fined $1000 for fighting on Front Street in Hamilton.
Psalm Darrell was seen in CCTV outside the Front Street establishment in an altercation with another man in the early hours of July 12.
Darrell, 18, of Pembroke then proceeded to punch the victim who fell to the ground.
When officers arrived at the scene both Darrell and the victim had left.
But Darrell was arrested the next day at the same establishment when officers recognized him from the CCTV footage.
This morning at court he admitted taking part in the fight, telling the court: “He was too touchy touchy all over me so I just gave him one.”
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo imposed a $1000 fine, which he said had to be paid by August 24.
