27-Year-Old Man Found Injured On Front Street
Around 3:20am on Saturday, police were alerted to an injured male in the motorcycle parking lot near Pier 6 on Front Street and “initial information suggested that the 27-year-old had been punched by another unknown man,” the police said today.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 3:20am Saturday, July 7th police officers on mobile patrol along Front Street in the City of Hamilton were alerted to an injured male in the motorcycle parking lot near Pier 6.
“Officers immediately attended the location and provided first aid to the individual, believed to be a 27-year-old Devonshire man.
“EMTs quickly arrived on scene and transported the injured man to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further medical assessment.
“He was initially admitted to a general ward but subsequently discharged.
“Initial information suggested that the 27-year-old had been punched by another unknown man, described as tall and brown complexioned, wearing a white T-shirt.
“However, despite several potential witnesses in the area, none of them assisted with police efforts at the scene to establish details of the incident or a more complete description of the alleged suspect.
“Inquiries continue and anyone with relevant information is asked to call Constable Michael Charlton on the main police telephone number 295-0011.
“Alternatively, callers can use the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477 to pass along information anonymously.”
