Smith Records ‘DNF’ In Triathlon European Cup
Bermudian triathlete Tyler Smith took part in the 2018 Székesfehérvar ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup in Hungary.
Competing in the Elite Men’s field, Smith recorded a ‘Did Not Finish’ along with over half a dozen other triathletes, with the race seeing some of the competitors slide out and crash,
Smith came out of the water 11th in a time of 8:31, however unfortunately he slid out on the bike portion, which also saw multiple athletes involved in crash, resulting in a few being injured.
Fortunately Smith was not injured, with the young triathlete saying, “A lot of riders went down on the technical course which had many turns, I was not injured, just some abrasions and a ripped suit.”
