Day Two Results: Ball Hockey World Masters

The ISBHF World Masters Ball Hockey Championships continued, with the island hosting teams from all around the world.

Italy 6 Bermuda 3

Bermuda’s second match saw them fall 6 – 3 to Italy. Sandro Mignosa gave Italy the lead in the 10th minute, with David Peragine doubling the lead in the 14th minute. Christopher Merritt pulled a goal back for Bermuda with a strike in the 18th minute.

Two goals off the stick of Massimo Pricipe in the space of a minute gave Italy a 4 – 1 lead after 20 minutes, and Leonardo Taus would then make it 5 – 1 to Italy with a goal in the 22nd minute.

Bermuda would get on the board for a second time in the game when Cory Caouette scored in the 30th minute, but the four goal lead was restored for Italy when Pricipe completed his hat-trick in the 33rd minute. Shannon Gosse would pull another goal back for Bermuda, however the game ended 6 – 3.
