Video: Age Concern Presentation On Housing
Age Concern Bermuda held their Annual General Meeting this afternoon [Sept 25] at Evangelical Church, featuring guest speaker Deborah Wiegand of the Green House Project, who discussed “a long-term care housing solution that is revolutionizing elder care in the United States.”
The Green House Project website says, “We envision homes in every community where elders and others enjoy excellent quality of life and quality of care; where they, their families, and the staff engage in meaningful relationships built on equality, empowerment, and mutual respect; where people want to live and work; and where all are protected, sustained, and nurtured without regard to the ability to pay.
“We partner with organizations, advocates, and communities to lead the transformation of institutional long-term care by creating viable homes that spread The Green House Project vision – demonstrating more powerful, meaningful, and satisfying lives, work, and relationships.”
