Canada Win ISBHF Ball Hockey Championships

The ISBHF World Masters Championships came to an end at the PCC Hockey Rink, with Canada winning the Men’s and Women’s Championships.

Men’s Masters Championship – Final: Canada Halton Leafs 0 Canada 4

In an all Canadian Final, team Canada defeated the Canada Halton Leafs 4 – 0. Canada would be led to victory with two goals off the stick of Terry Ryan, while Jeremy Bishop and Trent Gaudon added a goal each.

Women’s Masters Championship – Final: Canada 2 USA Blue 1

Canada would defeat the USA Blue 2 – 1 to lift the title, Canada would get goals from Sara Ross and Shannon Sutherland, while Sarah Wilson scored the lone goal for USA Blue.

Men’s Masters Championship – Bronze: Italy 8 USA 3

Italy won the Bronze Medal with a 8 – 3 win over USA, Maurizio Mignosa, Daniele Conte and Vito Tomasicchio all scored two goals each for Italy, Massimo Principe and Claudio Mignosa added a goal each, Lanny Noel scored twice for the USA and Rick Zinger added the other.

Women’s Masters Championship – Bronze: USA Red 4 Canada New Tec Xtreme 0

The USA would take the Bronze Medal after they defeated the Canada New Tec Xtreme 4 – 0. The USA would get goals from Ryann Geldner, Colleen Reid, Elisa Prange and Brandy Leblanc.
