Photos: Hamburg Cruise Ship In St George’s
The Hamburg cruise ship arrived in St. George’s this afternoon [Oct 30], with the 473 foot long cruise ship carrying an estimated 359 passengers and 373 crew members.
The Hamburg is one of six cruise ships the island will host over the next two days, with Transport Minister Walter Roban noting that tomorrow will mark the largest amount of cruise ship passengers to ever visit Bermuda in a single day.
In addition to the Hamburg in St George’s, the Carnival Conquest, Norwegian Escape and Disney Magic will be in Dockyard, the Azamara Journey will be in Hamilton, while the AIDAluna will be anchored.
Tomorrow, Bermuda is projected to host 9,341 cruise ship passengers until 4pm, and 8,048 passengers from 4:30pm through November 1, the Ministry said.
Transport Minister Walter Roban and the PLP Government will very likely want to take credit for this, when in actual fact it was the previous Government of the OBA that made this happen.
It’s amazing how many of the PLP supports will believe that their Gomment did this.
Amnesia is rampant in the ranks of the followers. Cruise lines schedule trips well over a year in advance. Thanks goes to the BTA & OBA for creating the BTA.
Just wait till the new airport is opened & see who is strutting around when the ribbon is cut.
