Free Mid Term Mini-BizCamp For Teenagers
The Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative [YEI] in conjunction with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation is conducting a 4-day Mini-BizCamp during the Fall Term Break beginning on Monday the 22nd of October.
It will be held at the offices of Bermuda Economic Development Sofia House,1st floor, 48 Church Street, Hamilton
“This special Mini BizCamp is for youth age 15 to 18 years old. We will be focused on the creation of presentations which could be submitted for the BEDC Global Entrepreneurship Week’s Youth Rocket Pitch Competition,” the organisers said.
“The top presentations will receive business start-up funding and other services provided by BEDC. This is open to all youth 18 years of age or younger. To learn more about this competition here.

“There is no cost to attend the YEI’s BizCamp thanks to the support of the Department of ICT Policy & Innovation, the Bank of Bermuda Foundation, Tokio Millennium Re, Chubb Charitable Foundation, XL/Catlin Foundation, Argo Foundation, and One Communications.
“Each day will begin at 9:30 am and wrapping up at 2:30 pm. Lunch & snacks are provided. Participants must bring their own laptop computers which will be needed to produce a PowerPoint Presentation and must have access the internet through WiFi.
“Participants will use a customized workbook, conduct online research, hear from guest lecturers and conduct field-based market research all designed to develop their own comprehensive business pitch. Participants will to learn about opportunity recognition, cost of goods, pricing, marketing and many other aspects of running a company. The objective is for each to present their Rocket Pitch on the final day.
