People’s Offering Deals Across Christmas Period
People’s will not be offering ‘Black Friday’ deals this year opting instead to “focus on delivering exceptional customer service and offering more beneficial deals throughout the Christmas period”.
A spokesperson said, “People’s, a Bermudian family owned and operated business, and one of the country’s leading pharmacies and toy stores will not be offering ‘Black Friday’ deals this year.
“To better focus on delivering exceptional customer service and offering more beneficial deals throughout the Christmas period, People’s has made the business decision to step away from what has become the norm on the retail calendar for this holiday season.”
Tamara Richardson, the manager of People’s and daughter of its founder, said, “From the day my mother first opened the doors to People’s Pharmacy in 1984, it has been our family’s mission to enhance the health and well-being of everyone in Bermuda. After last year’s turn out, and post mortem following the event, our management team came to the decision that the focus now placed on Black Friday in its current form, was not in line with our vision for the company, nor its customers.
“We appreciate that many of you enjoy the spirit of the occasion; however, the safety, security and well-being of our staff, and you as customers must come first. We value the loyalty of our customers and appreciate that many of you were looking forward to the deals on offer for this coming Black Friday period. We thank each one of our customers who have visited us on Black Fridays in the past and hope to present you with a safer and more organized set of deals for future events.”
