Christmas Window Display Contest Winners
The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, in collaboration with the St. George’s Rotary and the Corporation of St. George, announced the winners of the Annual St. George’s Window Display Contest. The contest was kicked off on November 24th during the Lighting of the Town Event with the winners announced this week.
Ray Lambert [BEDC Officer], Councilor Donnie McLaughlin [COSG], Doreen Williams-James [Long Story Short], Mr. Chun Lee Wong [Wong’s Golden Dragon], Alice Richardson [Davidson’s of Bermuda], Erica Smith [Executive Director, BEDC] and Andrew Roberts [St. George’s Rotary]
According to BEDC officer Ray Lambert, “BEDC is pleased to assist with this event. It’s a fun way to reward those businesses who do a great job decorating their stores, which helps to enhance the overall atmosphere and shopping experience of the town”.
Best Overall Winner – Ms. Alice Richardson of Davidson’s of Bermuda says: “I love Christmas and enjoy decorating and participating in the contest. I would urge all business owners to decorate as you never know how much it might brighten someone’s day”.

According to St. George’s Rotary Past -President Andrew Roberts “the St. George’s Rotary enjoy judging this contest and work to support positive events in the east end. We look forward to supporting again next year”.
An added incentive this year was a raffle for all of the participants for a one-night stay at Grotto Bay Hotel sponsored by Grotto Bay. This prize went to Ms. Cathy Roberts of Bermuda Linens and Gifts.

The winners include:
- Best Overall: Alice Richardson from Davidsons of Bermuda winning the Rotary Trophy and $350 BEDC Cash
- Most Creative: Doreen Williams – James of Long Story Short winning the BEDC Plaque and $500 BEDC Cash Prize
- The People’s Choice: Monet Wong of Wong’s Golden Dragon winning the Mayor’s Trophy and $200 BEDC Cash Prize
