Colonial To Bring Deepak Chopra To Bermuda

January 31, 2019

Deepak Chopra – described as ‘one of the top 100 heroes and icons of the century’ – will visit Bermuda, where he will give a free public talk.

He will be speaking in Bermuda in support of Zest Wellness, a wellness programme offered as part of the Colonial Group International’s insurance benefits. He will be presenting on ‘The Nature of Reality’ and sharing insights from his latest book, ‘The Healing Self’ during the free public event.

“This is incredibly exciting,” said Naz Farrow, the CEO of Colonial Group International. “Deepak is a world renowned figure and we are delighted to be able to bring him to Bermuda. It is going to be a fantastic event.

“We have secured some great speakers in the past, including Suze Orman and Arianna Huffington, and I am sure Dr. Chopra will be equally, if not more, popular.”

“Dr. Chopra is a New York Times bestselling author with more than 85 books translated into more than 43 languages, including 22 New York Times bestsellers. He is the founder of The Chopra Foundation and co-founder of The Chopra Center for Wellbeing,” Colonial explained.

“He is a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism.

“He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and a Clinical Professor in Medicine at the University of California, San Diego.”

TIME magazine has described him as “one of the top 100 heroes and icons of the century” and credits him as “the poet-prophet of alternative medicine”. The World Post and The Huffington Post global internet survey ranked Dr. Chopra #17 influential thinker in the world and #1 in Medicine”.

Dr. Chopra said: “I am very much looking forward to coming to Bermuda. Together we will explore how to create a more peaceful, just, sustainable, and happier world, and it begins with each of us choosing to heal and transform ourselves.”

CGI Corporate Wellness Director, Jacqueline Perreault said Colonial brought Dr. Chopra to the Cayman Islands last year, adding: “The event was so successful we decided straight away that we wanted to repeat it, but this time in Bermuda.

“CGI has invested significantly to provide cutting edge preventive medical services. Its wellness programme, Zest Wellness, is available to most Premier Health members and offers resources and tools to create long-lasting healthy habits in the community, which will benefit everyone in the long-run.”

Dr. Chopra will be in Bermuda on Saturday, April 6, for his talk, and book signing, at the Fairmont Southampton.

Tickets will be available to the general public in early February. Follow Colonial and Zest’s Facebook and Instagram pages: @cgigrp and @zestwellnesscgi for more information or email zestwellnesscgi@colonial.bm.

Dr. Chopra is an excellent presenter. I have had the pleasure of hearing him some years ago at The Alliance for Peace for Humanity Conference in Puerto Rico. Amazing content!
I look forward to hearing him again. Thank-you Colonial for this opportunity!

Obviously Colonial’s “BS” meter was either not working or turned off.
Hopefully Colonial has a janitor on duty to mop the floor.

I encountered Deepak Chopra more than 20 years ago when he was a virtual unknown and read his first book which appeared sound to me. He is/was a proponent for Ayervedic medicine which is ancient. I am astonished and so disappointed with all these terrible comments about him. Is that you all don’t give Eastern medicine any credence or did the fame and popularity go to his head?
