It is below zero across much of the US & Canada today. You think that trash collection has been suspended there?

    • Onion Juice says:

      • Hair says:

WHY???? It’s not ice or sleet.. It’s just rain and government provides rain gear.. DUH!!!

        • Onion Juice says:

So how many construction workers and landscapers did you see working outside yesterday?
          LMAO

          • question says:

If they didn’t work they still get paid? No. Because that’s how it works in the real world.

            • Onion Juice says:

Only a Fool would’ve worked in all that torrential rain, and just a friendly reminder, Slavery days are over.
Save that BS for de nanny’s.

      • Gina Ingham says:

The garbage men are in danger?

      • Question says:

It’s dangerous to go out in the rain?

    • Maurice M says:

Florida weather past 72 hours. Rain, high winds, lightning and thunderstorms. Average temperature 50 degrees. My trash was collected by an automated system on the truck driven by one person.

  2. gustav says:

of course , it is raining …….
    speechless

  3. Playstation says:

    ever heard of protective clothing!

    • piss potamus says:

  4. Junior says:

    Bermuda is another world, remember??

    LMAO

  5. kangoocar says:

Funny that! My employees got all their jobs done today and this maybe a shocker? They are all outside jobs!
    Fire all of them!

    • Onion Juice says:

Well your employees are Fools to work in torrential rain, they must come from a country where the $ value is weak. Taking advantage off desperate workers. Very sad.

  6. Coffee says:

Lazy , disgusting moaners …. Take your own trash to Tynes Bay . You have a choice here in Bermuda , maybe not so in Canada. Here you do , so get in your car and take YOUR stinking garbage to the dump . And no fly tipping !

    • King says:

      Exactly

    • Youngin says:

You enjoy paying taxes for public services that you don’t receive?

    • Deborah says:

Coffee…you couldn’t have said it better! Moaners!!….moan about everything! Let me echo your words a bit more! …shut your lazy traps! Put on your protective clothing, and head out in the pouring rain, along with the thunder and dangerous lightening and take your stinking trash to Tynes Bay yourself!

      • Anbu says:

Who moans more than the average civil servant?! Exactly. U must be one of them. Oh wait i forgot. 25-11 right? U lot love getting shafted lol.

    • Anon Ymous says:

How about we get the services we, as tax payers, have already paid for.

    • Question says:

The PLP. Pay people to do a job, and then tell the public to do it themselves. The typical reaction of unearned privilige champagne socialism. You pretend to be for ‘ordinary people’ and then you assume everyone has the time and resources of the PLP Elite.

Sure, all the Seniors at home can probably catch a bus to Tynes Bay. Oh wait…
Still, if they don’t have a car or can’t drive, they can probably send one of their servants. Isn’t that what Burt does?

    • sandgrownan says:

Can I get a rebate on my taxes. Happy to drive my own trash to Tynes Bay if I get a rebate.

I pay for a service and don’t get it, so I get my money back right?

      Thought so.

    • Junior says:

Maybe your car smells of stinking garbage, I prefer mine gets transported in a garbage truck..that’s what they’re made for right?

  7. Trump suppprter says:

Didn’t want to get there her did wet.
BeT they got paid though, the BITCOIN must be working well. All these bus cancellations bet the drivers are being paid, now trash trucks.
The light at the end of the tunnel is the train coming.

  8. Justasuggetion says:

    Yeah… just like coffee says.
Complaining about your paid tax not being spent as promised. How dare you expect the overpaid trash collectors to work in the rain. After all every other private sector worker made time.

  9. Local Bermudian says:

So what did they get paid for today ? This island will never get anywhere forward with Decisions like this .

  10. King says:

It’s funny how you lot are quick to bash the trash truck workers. Yet day in and day out they have to deal with some of you lot dirty trash. It was hailing throughout the day so there safety came first. You lot sound so stupid with yuh comments. On numerous occasions they guys work in the rain and yes they have rain gear. Why don’t you guys go and see what it’s like working on the trash truck. I bet more than half of you won’t last. Seriously you guys are a bunch of ungrateful members of the public. Trash guys big up yourselves, I appreciate you guys

    • question says:

Dealing with trash is their JOB.

    • Anbu says:

If u dont like the job u shouldnt have gone for it. Makes sense right. So if they have to deal with our “stinky trash” and have an issue with it. Move on. Simple fix.

  11. LaV says:

Coffee believes in paying taxes for absolutely no benefit. That’s why Bermuda has this group in power now.

  12. A friend says:

I’m gonna assume yall didn’t hear and see all the thunder and lightning yesterday. Just incase its not clear, garbage trucks are made of metal, metal conducts electricity, lightning is electricity. Your lack of concern for the safety of our garbage men is concerning.

  13. Dread says:

    Only in Bermuda

  14. fly tipper says:

I dont care if they get their butts wet,I just dump my garbage outside
