  1. Thank you enormously, Minister Burch.
The disastrous OBA could not have cared a damn.
They also behaved in a nasty, ruthless, unrealistic, undemocratic way for all of their tenure from 2012 TO 2017. Glad the GOMBEYS are out!!Rather well-deserved.
    Persevere on, Minister Burch!!

    • Rob says:

The OBA in 2018 announced that they will be bringing in10 new trash trucks. Burch has nothing to do with it.

    • Onion Juice says:

Well OBA did provide us with America’s Cup.

    • OMG says:

In 2017 the OBA had 10 new buses coming in. Burch had nothing to do with this.

    • PBanks says:

I get that you despise the OBA, but why disparage gombeys in that manner?

    • wahoo says:

Yes you rock Mr. Burch! Thank you for buying us new trash trucks with our money in only 18 short months. Now we have no excuse for not resuming 2 pick ups per week.

  2. Trump supporter says:

Are they the pop a wheelie type?

  3. Concerned Bermudian says:

Maybe now our Christmas tress in the west end can finally be collected???? still lying off the railway trail.

    • Shelly says:

I live in the West – my Tree was collected, as well as hundreds of others. Contact the Waste Collection Team about your Tree. Be concerned, to action. The number is 278-0563.

  4. Question says:

Will they spend a year getting them ready for the road, like the new buses that arrived January 2018?

  5. Pat Adderley says:

Please tell me the trucks will be weekly maintained and kept in good condition so they will last as long as possible

  6. Conspiracy Theory says:

And like the buses, are they custom made for Bermuda for a million each?

  7. Blah Blah says:

Will we go back to bi-weekly collection? All I see is rats on this island’s roads!!

    • Real Deal says:

get cats. rats don’t move as they want in St Davies

      • Toodle-oo says:

        a) What if the cat you get just happens not to be ratter ? Not all cats go hunting for rats . Birds ? Well we all know about that.
        b) Cats should be kept indoors anyway as those that roam are as much an environmental nuisance as rats.
