Pedal For Paralympics Hosts Successful Event

January 28, 2019

The rainy conditions didn’t dampen the spirit of goodwill, as dozens of participants took part in the Pedal for Paralympics on Sunday [Jan 27] riding from Dockyard to St. George’s to raise funds for the island’s para-athletes.

Despite the inclement weather, the riders took up the challenge to help support the Bermuda Paralympic Association, and Bermuda’s two time Paralympian and Parapan record holder Jessica Lewis joined in with the cyclists along Kindley Field road.

In a post on social media, Ms Lewis said, “The rain couldn’t dampen our day today! Thank you so much to the incredible 50 riders who came out to Pedal for Paralympics riding from Dockyard to St. George’s to help support the Bermuda Paralympic Association. Thank you to @lindrothann and @chris44bda for organizing another great event! Thank you to all the volunteers that helped to marshal. It’s truly amazing to have so much support for the Paralympic movement in Bermuda.”
