Sailors Continue In Sailing Series In Miami
Bermuda’s Cecilia Wollmann, Michael Wollmann and Benn Smith continued competing in the Hempel World Cup Sailing Series Event in Miami.
In a fleet of 27 sailors, the Wollmanns ended the day in 24th place with 156 net points. Four races were sailed in the Nacra 17 Mixed Class for the day, and unfortunately the Wollmanns were handed a disqualification under rule 30.3 in the first race of the day.
They then finished the second race of the day in 22nd, finished 16th in the third race of the day, and closed out with a 19th place finish in the fourth and final race of the day.
After two races in the Laser Men’s Class on the day, Smith came off the water in 78th place in a fleet of 101 sailors. He finished the first race of the day in 31st and placed 29th in the second race of the day.
