Butterfield Breaks Bermuda Record In Japan
Racing in the Lake Biwa Marathon in Japan, Bermuda’s Tyler Butterfield finished 60th overall clocking a time of 2:21:47, which smashes the record he set last year during the Commonwealth Games of 2:26.29
Butterfield said on social media, “I tried to make the most of the opportunity and went out faster than planned, but as they say – when in Rome. I knew 2:22 would be a great day, but dream day would have been 2:20 and training has had a few dreaming days.”
“So went out with a great group of guys and hung on as long as I could, as the group got smaller. I am very happy with my time and been a great project for the start of the year.”
