BCB: ‘Antoine Will Be Sorely Missed By All’
The Bermuda Cricket Board extended their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Antoine Seaman, saying he was a “valuable and well respected member of the BCB National Youth Program” and “will be sorely missed by all.”
Mr Seaman, 21, passed away following a collision with a police car early Monday morning in Sandys parish.
Lloyd Smith, President of the BCB, said, “The Bermuda Cricket Board extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Antoine Seaman. Antoine was a valuable and well respected member of the BCB National Youth Program. Antoine will be sorely missed by all.”
U18 National Team Manager Mr. B. Russell Richardson said, “I had the pleasure of being the manager of the under 18 National Team of which Antoine was a member, a well- mannered young man who represented himself well on and off the field.
“I also had the pleasure of accompanying him to Sri Lanka in 2015 as part of a combined Bermudian/Canadian select team, where he was the wicket keeper and his stats for the tour were as follows: 2 stumpings, 3 catches and 4 run outs.
“He played his local cricket for Willow Cuts CC and football for Somerset Cricket Club. He will be a great loss to Bermuda’s sporting community, both cricket and football. Gone too soon.”
