Horsfield 9 Seconds From Second Win Of Season
A breakfast table decision to try a local event resulted in a second place result for Bermuda National Mountain Bike Champion Robin Horsfield at the Substance Projects Sausage Suit ITT Half Marathon mountain bike event held just outside Mansfield, Ontario.
Like Horsfield’s previous event rain and cold were factors with 5 degree celsius the high for the day with constant rain. Unlike traditional mountain bike courses, the entire event was on singletrack, thus necessitating a time trial start.
Horsfield next races in the Ontario ‘monument’ race of Paris to Ancaster, trading in his fat tires for a road/gravel race, on April 29th.
