Police Order Rangers To Close For 24 Hours
The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] has issued a temporary closure of Southampton Rangers Sports Club from 12.00am on Sunday, April 14th until 12.00am on Monday, April 15th.
A police spokesperson said, “Following two anti-social incidents this past weekend, the Bermuda Police Service has exercised its authority under the Liquor Licence Act Section 51A to close Southampton Rangers Sports Club from 12am Sunday, April 14th until 12am Monday, April 15th.
“Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police James Howard, who is in charge of the Tactical Operations Division, issued the temporary closure order this afternoon [April 12th].”
Complete waste of F*&^%$J( thyme.
The Commissioners sheep are a waste.
Useless.
Agreed, a sunday night! Were they even open?
This place should lose its liquor licence for good.
They should also receive a bill from the taxpayer for the police presence that seems to always be required. Taxpayers are fed up with our resources being used to secure these clubs. Majority of Bermudians do not even frequent this venue because we know what goes on.
Agreed nothing but a community nuisance and hangout for gang bangers with no belts to hold up their pants. Should have a dress code of slacks, belt, loafers and collar shirt. That would keep the riff raff out!
It’s no need for TNT To exist
Those children can be migrated to other schools
Most of these schools don’t have much children so there is plenty of space
It will save a lot of money
But some people may lose jobs
boy that will hurt and stop the ignorance. it USED to be a solid well grounded club in the day, now full of miscreants most of the time
Such a shame how outsiders who have no respect for the club and its legacy have been allowed to destroy such! Come on club Elders!Take a stand and step up if you care!
Shut the hole down for good.
That place is ghettttooooo
As this is not Rangers first offence the penalty shoud have been longer.
I wonder what the Liquor Licence Authority is going to say at Rangers hearing for the up coming year.
Be watching
This club is running short on excuses …therefor choices are becoming fewer.
As to tatem school…shutters are needed to leave windows open for air circulation .
Sunday night. Tough night to be closed. Might as well have done nothing at all.
Close it down. The only problem is the scum lowlife people will go other places and ruin them as well.
Rangers used to be a good place to go. Sad.
Best place to go is Jasmine or Boundary as the prices are so high the riff raff won’t go and if they do Manager can turn them away!
I thought they had metal detectors, the cost of security must weigh heavily on their operating costs thus taking them to the brink of financial ruin. And it is primarily a sports club, and a great outlet for up and coming youth. The mess happens after dark.
Rangers needs to stay closed for a few months so that people can elsewhere. Then open with a new policy and get rid of the fools that hang
That used to be a lovely little neighbourhood. I certainly think property owners will be very happy to see it shut down until they get their act together.
