Basketball League: Skyforce & Twisters Win
The Bermuda Basketball League continued inside the Bermuda College Gymnasium with a double header that produced 220 points on the night.
In Game 1 the Pembroke Skyforce defeated the Hamilton Parish Rockets 69 – 39. For the second game in a row Gershon Kurt would led the Pembroke Skyforce to victory with another double-double. Kurt scored 31 Points and grab 19 Rebounds, and also added 1 Assist, 5 Steals and 4 Blocked Shots. John Lee had a double-double for the Hamilton Parish Rockets, he scored 11 Points, grabbed 18 Rebounds, and had 7 Assists and 1 Steal.
Game 2 saw the Hamilton City Twisters defeat the St. George’s Hoopstars 65 – 47. Sabur Burrows led the Hamilton City Twisters to victory with a game high 19 Points, to go along with 1 Assist, 2 Steals and 2 Blocked Shots, while Kennique Wilson scored a double-double for the St. George’s Hoopstars, Wilson scored 12 Points and grabbed 10 Rebounds, he would dish out 5 Assists, record 2 Steals and finish with 2 Blocked Shots.
