Bermuda Athletes Win Medals In Atlanta Relays
Bermuda is being represented at the Atlanta Relays 2019, and on the opening day the Bermuda athletes picked up four medals.
Kymaree Pitt won a Silver Medal competing in the 11-12 Boys Javelin Throw with a top toss of 74 feet 6 inches, while Kesay Bell also won a Silver Medal when she finished second in the 13-14 Girls Javelin Throw with a top toss of 82 feet 5 inches. Kesay Bell would capture her second Medal of the meet when she won the Bronze Medal competing in the 13-14 Girls Shot Put with a top toss of 35 feet. Razi Garland captured a Silver Medal while taking part in the 13-14 Boys Shot Put with a top toss of 35 feet 6 inches.
Azhaire Burrows finished 27th competing in the 11-12 Boy’s 100 Dash Preliminaries clocking 14.68.
Chiaje Rudo finished 32nd with a time of 14.01 in the 13-14 Girls 100 Dash Preliminaries, Kyiah Robinson clocked a time of 14.61 in the same Preliminaries finishing 45th.
During the 13-14 Boys 100 Dash Preliminaries, Anaya West was 9th clocking 12.11, Malachi Henry was 11th with 12.28 and Denver Tucker was 22nd stopping the clock at 12.80. Saj Carey finished 23rd with a time of 12.81 and Malachi Outerbridge was 29th clocking 13.08.
During the 15-16 Girls 100 Dash Preliminaries, Massassi Smith finished 18th with a time of 13.30, while Atayio Burgess finished 26th in the 15-16 Boys 100 Dash Preliminaries stopping the clock in 12.62.
Competing in the 11-12 Girls 400 Dash saw Kamuari Darrell finished 13th with a time of 1:06.24, while Zahriah Outerbridge finished 16th clocking 1:06.69.
Zayden Daniels finished 17th while competing in the 11-12 Boys 400 Dash Preliminaries with a time of 1:08.26, while Seer Carey finished 17th competing in the 13-14 Boys Preliminaries clocking 58.80.
Ramiah Brangman clocked a time of 1:05.53 while finishing 17th in the 13-14 Girls 400 Dash Preliminaries. Finishing 32nd while competing in the 13-14 Boys 400 Dash Preliminaries was Jaelyn Grant with a time of 1:04.29.
Jehzari Talbot finished 19th running in the 15-16 Girls 400 Dash Preliminaries, clocking 1:05.01, while Katherine Bean-Rosario just missed a podium spot when she finished 4th competing in the 13-14 Girls 1500 race clocking 5:29.13. Jauza James took to the track to compete in the 13-14 Boys 1500, finishing 7th with a time of 5:08.88.
Jannis Roberts finished 9th competing in the 13-14 Boys Shot Put with a top toss of 24 feet 5 inches. In the 13-14 Girls Javelin Throw Kisaye Bell finished 4th with a top toss of 74 feet 3 inches, while Dominique brown finished 6th with a top toss of 70 feet 1 inch.
Pitt finished 16th competing in the 11-12 Boys Long Jump with a top leap of 10 feet 7.75 inches, Kisaye Bell finished 6th in the 13-14 Girls Shot Put with a top toss of 30 feet and Brown finished 7th with a toss of 29 feet 5 inches.
During the 13-14 Boys Shot Put Timothy Lightbourne finished 4th with a top toss of 30 feet 4 inches and Zureck Thompson was 5th with a toss of 29 feet 5 inches.
