‘Case Remains An Active Murder Investigation’

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to come forward to help solve the murder of Patrick Dill, who was shot outside of his home in May 2016, saying the ‘ case remains an active murder investigation.’

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] is renewing their appeal for witnesses to come forward in the murder of Patrick Dill, who was shot outside of his home approximately 11pm on Saturday the 21st day of May 2016.

“This case remains an active murder investigation and today marks the third anniversary since Patrick was killed.

“The investigating team would like to speak with witnesses in the Crossland Lane area of Pembroke that might have seen persons acting suspiciously in the area before and after the fatal shooting, as well as persons that have information about this callous murder.

“All information is significant and can go a long way in bringing closure to the family and friends of Patrick, who are left grieving.

“All information received will be treated in the strictest of confidence and we are asking anyone that can assist the investigation to call the Senior Investigating Officer Detective Sergeant Jason Smith on 441-717-0864 or jsmith2@bps.bm.

“Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided via the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477.”
