Dutranoit Wins 3000m In New School Record
Isabelle Dutranoit won the 3000m in a new school record time of 10.18, breaking the previous record of 10.32 while also breaking her own record recorded at the Carifta Games of 10.21.
Bermuda National Athletics Association President Donna Raynor said, “Isabelle Dutranoit has been tearing up the track after her gold medal performance at the Carifta Games. Isabelle competed in a home track meet over the weekend Saturday, May 4 at Suffield Academy in Connecticut against two other schools.
“She won the 3000m in a new school record of 10.18, breaking the previous record of 10.32. She also broke her own record which she recorded at the Carifta Games of 10.21.
“She then turned around and won the 1500m in a new school record of 4.56.11, breaking the previous record of 4.56.75. She has two more meets ahead of her and she is hoping to lower her time in both events even more.
“It is great to see our athletes participating well after the games and of course setting school records. We are hoping that Isabelle will be available to compete at the NACAC U18 & U23 Championships in Queretaro, Mexico from July 5 to July 7.”
